The Annual Chitlin' Strut Festival is BACK!!! The Town of Salley is excited to host the 56th Chitlin' Strut on Saturday, November 25th. All events will continue to be held in addition to a few new ones. We look forward to celebrating with you all!

The Town of Salley has adopted a new Ordinance which amended the Chitlin Strut Ordinance to read the following: "On the day of the Chitlin Strut, outdoor cooking beyond the confines of the Festival grounds is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN except for those permanent food establishments, registered campers and citizens of the Town of Salley. The Town of Salley Police Department will enforce the new Ordinance with a zero tolerance." A FINE will be enforced.

Activities scheduled thus far, for this year's Chitlin' Strut include a Parade, Variety of Food Vendors, Arts & Craft vendors, Entertainment, Souvenir Shop, Hog Calling Contest, Strut Dance Contest, Beauty Pageant, & lots of boiled and fried Chitlins! Explore our site to find out more!
Chitterlings, sometimes spelled/pronounced chitlins or chittlins) are a prepared food usually made from the small intestines of a pig, although the intestines of cattle and other animals are sometimes used. They can be eaten fried or boiled. It's the ultimate "soul food."
